Start Picking Up Pieces-Where Do You Start?

start picking up pieces

Start Picking Up Pieces: To start picking up the pieces in any shattered life is never easy to do. Where do you start? The mind is always over thinking! Who really has a clue? Not even research can suggest what to do. So much has been said and done, now or even in the past. Time is slowly passing, gainfully interpreting the outcome at last.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”—Martin Luther King, Jr.

Start Picking Up Pieces….

Why? Loves evidence is still in the air! Trying to even move on at all has called so much dispair. Picking up the pieces is still a constant glare, got to find a way to move on. How? There are no wages to spare. Yet, still in lingering thoughts of does he still even care?

“Tough times never last, but tough people do.”—Robert H. Schuller

“Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.”—Les Brown

Picking up the pieces….

travels one day at a time, it may conceal those thoughts which can deteriorate the mind. An emotional turmoil will escape very rapidly, but if you remain strong just so life can prevail, picking up piece by piece will help you hold on and you will not  spend life looking frail.

Picking up the pieces….

Is an everyday part of life. We live & we learn from our mistakes & then we’ll know we have finally won. Pick up every piece no matter how hard life maybe. In the end those pieces will fit together because it’s only a puzzle you will see.

“If you fell down yesterday, stand up today.”―H.G. Wells

LET’S TALK…

If you’re actually talking to someone who’s been through a disastrous number of years, that only means one thing: They survived it.

Nicole Ari Parker

VENT..

I think there is little harm in venting here and there about things, as we are all human, and it is good to express emotions.

Michelle Gielan

RANT!

Writing lets you step back and think through a problem. Even the angriest rant forces the writer to achieve a degree of thoughtfulness.

Atul Gawande

I would like for us to meet right here on Tuesday’s because I will love to hear how you are doing today?

If it’s time to let go, JUST LET GO. You can’t carry on through life with extra weight on your conscience.

Shannon Leto

I just want to take it back a few years so that you as an audience can better understand why #TalkTuesday is great way for you as well as myself to release the brain of all its troubles. Or at least the tension your thoughts maybe causing from being held in.

Thoughtful Tuesday

In 1999, I was a long-term substitute instructional aide for an elementary school here in town. My life changed one day when I experienced this sharp pain running up & down my leg. I did not think anything else of it, but as time passed the pain became unbearable. I finally went to the doctor & they said it as old arthur, but I knew that was impossible.  So, they eventually referred me to another doctor.

I had to eventually leave my job because I discovered I had a herniated disk down by my tailbone that was pinching the main nerve. This was the kind of pain that is so torturing & indescribable that I would never wish that type of TORTURE on anyone.

Are You Willing To Talk?

Always changing furniture around in my house, I bent down the wrong way which lead me to be disabled at the age of 27, walking with the aid of a walker & a crooked back. Anyway, I was on disability from 2002 to 2007. During this disruptive time in my young life I developed psychogenic seizures that are caused by a traumatic event. If you want to learn more about Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES) <<<<Click Here<<<<

The doctors said they were of the mind because I was not releasing what was really happening to my body through my mind, so my body decided to release it for me. I was holding on to what was going on because I just did not understand. After being pulled, poked, & prodded by the physical therapist, and any other procedures the doctors referred I had to have surgery December 6, 2001.

Holding on to your thoughts, not taking deep breaths & just letting that SHIT go can cause some serious medical issues. I have been through the eye of the hurricane & weathered the storm, so trust me I AM HERE TO LISTEN.

Are You Really Living? Stay True To You!

Stay True To You

Stay True To Yourself

Staying true to yourself requires practice as well as committment. Being true to YOU is a constant as you continue to grow and evolve. You must be prepared to spend time alone and learn who you really are. The primary goal is to remove any distractions, sit in silence & just listen to your inner thoughts. Getting to really know who you truly are is a valuable life lesson.

You must be prepared for honesty with your true feelings, your value in life, and your hearts desires. People are not going to free flow with you on this continuous journey. Therefore, you must be ready to set the world aside, but not forget about the people who truly mean the most in your life & channel your inner you.

Staying true to yourself is specifically about building a relationship with you. You have already given yourself to the world, now it is time to experience yourself. No matter what, always stay true to yourself because you can easily lose yourself when you always place others before you. To offer help to people is such a great deed. However, it should always be for the right reasons.

Example 1:

She got married to husband #1 just to keep his ass out of prison or perhaps help him get a reduced sentence. What a waste. Over the years, she became bitter. The luring techniques were very simple; she’s pregnant with another man’s child: protruding with a five month baby bump and of course the rest was history. He was abusive. He was a whore. She allowed love to festure. She endured it. She was fed up. She married in 1995. He became estranged in 1999. She pursued for a divorce, but was not successful until 2006. She always lives & learns. She lived it, she learned it, she moved on from it.

woman-3410201_1920.jpgPhoto Credit

Example 2:

Men can be just as vulnerable as women. He tell her he’s not ready, but she is persistant because she is so use to being captainess save a hoe. He needs to get his son out the system. Ms. wonder woman steps up and is so pursuant. The proper channels were being taken. The system tells her that they do not see any stability. She learns the only way to get his son is to say I do. Here she goes again, husband #2. WTF was she thinking, surely not long-term, but short-term. She got married in 2008. She helps her husband conquer his goal. His baby is 3. She placed herself on the back burner again. Whoa, her children are young adults. His ass refused to work, she becomes frustrated, hardship takes its grand toll. They seperate in 2012. He mails the divorce papers to her granny’s house. She obliges. She is now……Staying True To Herself.

Staying True To Yourself Quotes

1. One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals. And so when I hear about negative and false attacks, I really don’t invest any energy in them, because I know who I am.

Michelle Obama

2. This above all; to thine own self be true.

William Shakespeare

3. Find out who you are and figure out what you believe in. Even if it’s different from what your neighbors believe in and different from what your parents believe in. Stay true to yourself. Have your own opinion. Don’t worry about what people say about you or think about you. Let the naysayers nay. They will eventually grow tired of naying.

Ellen DeGeneres

4. By staying true to yourself, you keep your energy high and clear, and you provide inspirational role modeling for other healers and helpers. Integrity toward yourself is a gift to the world.

Doreen Virtue

5. What’s important is that you stay true to yourself. Because when you enter the real world, the most valuable thing you can bring is all your you-ness. The world doesn’t need any more hot chicks or tough guys or smooth talkers – the world needs more you. And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Bo Burnham

6. Stay true to yourself because a lot of times women get so wrapped up in doing for a man that we forget to focus on us. A lot of times that is unattractive. They love us because we are independent and focused on the things that make us happy. Because when they see you happy, their happy!

Gabrielle Dennis

Katherine Webb

10. When you do something you love, you have a passion for it. It comes naturally. Staying true to yourself and doing what you love keeps you going…everything else falls into place.

Which One Are You? Potatoes, Eggs, or Coffee Beans

An Inspirational Short Story to Motivate Us

Potato Image Credit

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it.

Mother Teresa

Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.

Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important. Capture the good times. And if things don’t work out, just take another shot.

Ziad K. Abdelnour

He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing.

After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the boiled eggs out and placed them in a bowl.

He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked. “Daughter, what do you see?”

“Potatoes, eggs, and coffee,” she hastily replied.

There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won’t anymore,
And who always will.
So, don’t worry about people from your past, there’s a reason why they didn’t make it to your future.

Adam Lindsay Gordon

“Look closer,” he said, “and touch the potatoes.” She did and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.

“Father, what does this mean?” she asked.

Don’t be afraid of enemies who attack you. Be afraid of the friends who flatter you.

Dale Carnegie

He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity– the boiling water.

However, each one reacted differently.

You live it forward, but understand it backward.

Abraham Verghese

The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.

The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water. Then the inside of the egg became hard.

However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.

God is bigger than time,
dates, and appointments.
He wants you to move
through this day with a quiet heart,
an inward assurance that
He is in control, a peaceful certainty
that your life is in His hands,
a deep trust in His plan and purposes,
and a thankful disposition,
toward all that He allows.
He wants you to put your faith in Him,
not in a timetable.
He wants you to wait on Him
and wait for Him.
In His perfect way He will put everything
together, see to every detail…
arrange every circumstance…
and order every step to bring
to pass what He has for you.

Roy Lessin

“Which are you,” he asked his daughter.

“When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean? “

An Inspiring Short Story Saturday: Life

The Short Story of Life

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be (possibly your roommate, neighbor, coworker, longlost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger) but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

everton-vila-140207-unsplashPhoto by Everton Vila on Unsplash

Everyone is necessarily the hero of his own life story.

John Barth

And sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart.

nik-macmillan-284747-unsplash.jpgPhoto by Nik MacMillan on Unsplash

If they ever do my life story, whoever plays me needs lots of hair color and high heels.

Charlize Theron

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.

felix-russell-saw-251617-unsplashPhoto by Felix Russell-Saw on Unsplash

People need to understand that what happens in people’s homes and behind closed doors, unless you were there, you really shouldn’t make any analogy or any assumption, which writers do quite a bit. It’s not something I ever for one second thought about. This is not my life story, and I’ve never told my life story, and I have no interest in telling my life story.

Charlize Theron

The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience help to create who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things.

hian-oliveira-614747-unsplash.jpgPhoto by Hian Oliveira on Unsplash

Share your story with someone. You never know how one sentence of your life story could inspire someone to rewrite their own.

Demi Lovato

Make every day count!!! Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don’t believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets. Short Story Reference
