1.) It is the passion that is in a kiss that gives to it its sweetness; it is the affection in a kiss that sanctifies it.

2.) You know when you have found your prince because you not only have a smile on your face but in your heart as well. Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart, and the joy in a heart. Who would give a law to lovers? Love is unto itself a higher law.

3.) Like I’ve always said, love wouldn’t be blind if the braille weren’t so damned much fun.

4.) Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.

5.) Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love.

6.) You have to walk carefully in the beginning of love; the running across fields into your lover’s arms can only come later when you’re sure they won’t laugh if you trip.

7.) A kiss makes the heart young again and wipes out the years.

8.) Love is missing someone whenever you’re apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you’re close in heart.

9.) Young love is a flame; very pretty, often very hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. The love of the older and disciplined heart is as coals, deep-burning, unquenchable.

10.) You know you’re in love when you stop comparing.

11.) To know the pain of too much tenderness

12.) I’ll love you, dear, I’ll love you till China and Africa meet and the river jumps over the mountain and the salmon sing in the street.

13.) When you’re in love you never really know whether your elation comes from the qualities of the one you love, or if it attributes them to her; whether the light which surrounds her like a halo comes from you, from her, or from the meeting of your sparks.

14.) I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.

18.) All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love.

19.) We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness — and call it love — true love.

8 Ways To Prevent An Angry Lifestyle

Minimizing Problems With Anger Management

There are a number of things you can do in structuring your life to prevent anger from becoming problematic.

1.) Make a personal commitment to calmness.

maximilien-t-scharner-318691.jpgPhoto by Maximilien T’Scharner on Unsplash

Calmness is freedom from agitation in the face of a
provoking situation-and calmness is a choice. It doesn’t
happen by accident, and may start with a statement like
this, “I promise to stay calm at work for one whole day.”
It takes practice, but the payoff is immense-calmness
promotes an internal sense of peace and tranquility-truly
a gift in our hectic lives!

2.) Anticipate and intercept your anger and frustration-and plan accordingly.morgan-basham-364865.jpg

Photo by Morgan Basham on Unsplash

For example, let’s say Mondays are always hectic for you
and there’s nothing to be done to move things around to
change it. Get proactive! You might try beginning a
routine that includes getting to bed a half hour earlier
the night before. Monday morning you may try getting
up earlier to have a good breakfast and
spend some extra time with your family before you
head into the chaos. Remind yourself on the way to
work you can choose to stay calm throughout the day
no matter what. And if the prospect of staying late at
the office or store makes you crazy for fear of missing
your favorite Monday night television program, tape it
for later viewing!

3.) Realize you can say no to your anger.gemma-evans-131781.jpg

Photo by Gemma Evans on Unsplash

We all receive numerous “invitations to anger” every
day-inconveniences, inconsiderate people, equipment
breakdowns, traffic jams-you name it! You don’t have to
get angry just because you could.

4.) Avoid useless or trivial conflictsfrida-bredesen-317281.jpg

Photo by Frida Bredesen on Unsplash

Pick your conflicts very carefully!

5.) Accept differences in others.levi-saunders-133027.jpg

Photo by Levi Saunders on Unsplash

So many conflicts arise from the inability to accept and
respect differences in our family members, coworkers,
bosses, etc. It is easy to translate “you do things
differently than I do” to “you’re wrong.” Personal and
business relationships are enhanced with diversity~creativity
is increased, better solutions are arrived at
when problem solving, etc. Learn to view differences
with an appreciative spirit.

6.) Praise instead of punish.xan-griffin-420173.jpg

Photo by Xan Griffin on Unsplash

We live in a society that is starved for praise and
recognition. We are interdependent beings who need
affirmation and positive regard from others to feel
whole. One way to feel less prone to anger and to
decrease the potential for conflict is to keep an eye out
for the positives and continually acknowledge them in
others.

7.) Exercise self-care.ovayo-ntlabati-418459.jpg

Photo by Ovayo Ntlabati on Unsplash

Good care and maintenance of your body is essential
for the prevention of anger. Feeling better physically
typically leads to a better spirit, which in turn serves as
a buffer against the many annoyances in daily life. Think
of the acronym HALT to begin focusing on this all-important
habit:

H – Hunger
A – Anxious
L – Lonely
T – Tired

The idea is that you are more likely to succumb to anger
when confronted with a situation when you are under
the influence of one of these factors, and extremely
likely when operating under more than one.

Hunger: While physical hunger can certainly fray one’s
spirits, this can refer to other types of hunger as well.
For example, you may be hungry for some attention,
affection, or affirmation. Remember to feed your body
physiologically, but also do things, which feed your soul
as well.

Anxiety: Anxiety and anger reinforce one another. Both
are part of the body’s natural “fight or flight” response
to perceived threats. Although anxiety can be low-key,
there can also be a buildup effect of being continually
confronted by situations, which trigger fear and concern.
The key antidote to anxiety is learning the technique of
relaxation. When learned well and practiced daily,
relaxation lowers stress and reduces the tendency to
“fight or flight” responses.

Loneliness: Loneliness may be an issue in the personal
realm or at work. Individuals may be experiencing
relationship difficulties in their families, or feeling estranged from their peers in the workplace. This may
make them more vulnerable to anger evoking
situations. Take steps to ensure you have an adequate
family or social support system-it’s one of the most
positive things you can do for the quality of your life,
and for your physical health!

Tiredness: Getting enough rest at today’s hectic pace is
most assuredly a challenge. But the low-grade fatigue
so characteristic of so many Americans can easily make
one much more susceptible to the many invitations to
anger extended every day. Getting proper rest coupled
with regular exercise is essential.

8.) Maintain proper balance.form-426157.jpg

Bear in mind that a healthy lifestyle involves a balanced
focus on being, belonging, and doing. Take time for selfdiscovery
(being), social relationships (belonging), and
work you enjoy (doing). Remember that any one arena
typically cannot fulfill all three needs and structure your
life accordingly. Maximum life satisfaction is achieved
when balance is struck among all three aspects. On the
other hand, frustration builds when these needs are not
honored, and the tendency to look for things going
wrong is increased, thus making one more susceptible
to anger.

You get and send hundreds of messages a day. From email to your car’s turn signal, are you a good communicator? It can be frustrating when you don’t feel understood. And poor communication can lead to conflict. So, how can you improve your ability to communicate?

  • Be a good listener. alice-moore-192521.jpg

Take the time to listen to others. And we mean, really listen. Give the person your full attention, ask questions and restate what you heard. Listen for information and emotion.

To All My Readers

I am so excited to share my 100 blog post from my first day here in the blogosphere to this one. I have done my best to be consistent as humanly possible, set several schedule to adhere to my lifestyle, have endured several writer’s blocks, and unsure of what readers would actually be looking for. I stop trying to figure any of this out & just  simply decided to go with the Ms. Flo…LOL!

I started off wanting or just assuming I must post everyday & it would be a great idea but my 40 an hour work week comes along with sleep & many other life duties. I found out real quick that blogging takes time and an everyday schedule is a lot more serious than just picking me three or four days out of the week for consistency. However, I still feel fueled with fire to post daily & when that urge strikes I’m going for the gusto. Whatever the case maybe I am here and still thriving.

5 Simple Tips For Self-Improvement

Are you looking to develop communication skills, maximize your time or simply feel better about yourself?gerome-viavant-217865.jpgPhoto by Gerome Viavant on Unsplash

If you’re like most people, you have goals you want to achieve. Maybe you want to get better at something. Maybe you want to break a bad habit. There’s almost always an area where you can learn, grow and develop.isaiah-mcclean-412247.jpgPhoto by Isaiah McClean on Unsplash

Self-improvement doesn’t have to be complicated. Consider some of these five simple tips:

Books, newspaper articles, blogs – There’s a wealth of information out there. Pick a topic and research it. Start a book club. Reading and discussion keep you sharp and make for good conversation.

  • Learn a new language.

david-200062.jpgPhoto by David on Unsplash

Learning a new language can be frustrating and rewarding at the same time. And by learning a new language, you can also learn about a new culture.

Hobbies are an important part of self-care. It’s good to do something that’s just for you. And it can help you manage the stress of everyday life.

Speaker Jim Rohn, said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”  Whether or not you believe this, negative people can bring you down. You’ll always have negative people in your life. But try to avoid them. Instead, surround yourself with positive, supportive people.

Are you carrying around a past hurt? It might be time to let it go. Holding onto these old wounds can keep you from becoming the best version of yourself.

Talking Nonsense on Rant Tuesday

Quotation-Dr-Seuss-I-like-nonsense-it-wakes-up-the-brain-cells-Fantasy-26-65-84.jpg

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.

4 New Twist On New Year’s Resolutions

4 New Twist

Making resolutions and setting goals for a new year are longstanding traditions. While great in theory, taking on new commitments just adds to your plate — and if you’re like many — your plate is probably overflowing already! So before increasing your to-do list for the upcoming year, how about getting rid of some items? Sometimes discarding is the best way to make a fresh start.

A major benefit of this approach is the psychological freedom you feel when you clear away those things that may stress you out, drag you down, and prevent you from moving ahead with gusto. As you shed unrealistic tasks, dormant projects, and accumulated clutter, you gain time and energy for the tasks you really want to take on. Here are a few ideas for cleaning things out and getting the new year off to a great start:

1.) Clean out your email.

Do you save all your emails “just in case?” The new year is a perfect time for an Email Emptying Event! Delete unnecessary emails, and organize by creating folders to store those you truly need going forward. Another benefit – this will likely improve the speed of your computer.

2.) Organize your space.

At the office dump old papers, calendars, reminders, and other desk clutter that keep you from having an efficient workspace. At home, take on your closets, drawers, shelves and file cabinets. Having a clean space reduces stress and increases productivity.

3.) Let go of an unhealthy habit.

Has giving up tobacco or overeating been on your mind Make this the year. Quitting — with a plan — is positive and renewing. Keep your goals specific and realistic to avoid frustration.

4.) Make room for “yes.”

Many find it hard to say “no,” and wind up being over-committed. Dust off the word “no” by replying to requests with an acknowledgment of all that is already on your plate. Recognize we all have limits — if not in energy — in time! Look critically at your workload at home and work, and if possible, shed one commitment you made under pressure. Practice saying a confident “no” to new requests for which you really don’t have the time or energy. This also creates the space for a “yes” to those things that truly energize you. So for every “discard,” you make room for all that reflects who you want to be in the new year!

10 Tips For A More Sound Sleep

jake-young-169807.jpgPhoto by Jake Young on Unsplash

  1. Go bland before bedtime. To fall asleep quickly,
avoid caffeine, nicotine and alcohol for at least four
hours before you go to bed.
  2. Be predictable. Go to bed around the same time
every night, and try to follow a similar routine. Waking
the same time every morning is also essential in keeping
    a regular sleep schedule.

benjamin-voros-310026.jpgPhoto by Benjamin Voros on Unsplash

  1. Don’t toss and turn. If you can’t sleep after 20
minutes, get out of bed and do something else until you
feel sleepy again. Tossing and turning may cause more
    anxiety than relaxation.
  2. Save the bed for sleep and sex. Avoid paying bills,
reading the paper or watching TV in bed. It is important
to correlate your bed with sleep, not stress.

jared-rice-408402.jpgPhoto by Jared Rice on Unsplash

  1. Take a bath. Take a warm bath before bedtime to
help your body relax. You may want to add lavender or
other soothing oils into your bath water. Also, taking a
bath can be more relaxing than a shower.
  2. Exercise early. If you exercise, do it before dinner,
not after. Exercising late at night can wake you up
instead of help you to relax.

alex-robert-222997.jpgPhoto by Alex Robert on Unsplash

  1. Make your room dark. People usually sleep best in
a cool, dark environment. Hanging heavy drapes or
wearing a sleep mask may help.
  2. Grab a snack. It’s hard to sleep hungry, so try a
light snack before bedtime. Warm milk is thought to
naturally induce sleep by releasing the natural hormone
L-Triptaphan. Keep the meal light, because eating a
    large meal can cause restlessness.

andrew-dong-387377.jpgPhoto by Andrew Dong on Unsplash

  1. Cut naps short. If you have trouble falling asleep,
consider avoiding naps. At the very least, limit them to
less than an hour before mid-afternoon.
  2. Address your stress. If daytime troubles keep you
awake, try jotting notes about ways to deal with them.
Leave stress at the bedroom door, if possible.
